About Chancery Lane

Chancery Lane sits at the western edge of the City of London within the ward of Farringdon Without. The one-way street runs from Fleet Street to High Holborn. It was originally created during the twelfth century as a new route between the old temple of the Knights Templar on the current site of the Southampton Buildings on Holborn and the present temple at Fleet Street.
