One in three British office workers find their office environment completely uninspiring, a VNUnet recent survey has shown. When considering accepting a job offer, more than half of us weigh up friendly colleagues (64 percent) and a sociable boss (51 percent) as virtually the most important factors.
The survey proves the traditional perception is wrong – it turns out we would rather use the workplace to socialise and home to work.
Office noise, long hours of commuting to and from work and other major distractions force some bosses to suggest that workplace is primarily used for meetings, chats and brainstorming, while research, presentations and reports are better left for a more quiet environment, perhaps the home.
